IFB Rule Changes for 2/21

February 21, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

A small post to update on the progress of the Illinois Fantasy Baseball League’s second season.  Sign-ups are still on-going, with 13 teams now registered, as of 11:04 A.M.  There is also increased demand for sign-ups, and that will be addressed.

If you want to sign-up, click here and enter the league ID# (36932) and the password (lincolnreagan).

Here are the rule changes that went into effect today for this year, mostly in response to the demand for sign-ups:

  • The five teams that have not signed up yet from last season were deleted, opening up sign-ups and preventing error messages for new members who want to play
  • Maximum league size was increased from 16 to 20.  If the full 20 get signed up, then changes that will come from that will be addressed before draft day.
  • The corner and middle infielder positions on the starting roster have been eliminated
  • Number of outfielders in the starting lineup have been reduced from 4 to 3
  • Number of utility players in the starting lineup have been increased from 1 to 2

Any further changes that will be in effect will be addressed in future blogs.  As of 11:04 A.M. this morning, here is a list of teams in the 2011 season, in the order they will draft in.
