IFB Season Leaders After Week 6
Week 6 marked the (over) one-quarter mark in the Illinois Fantasy Baseball League season. So here’s a look at some of the leaders in each stat category so far this year.
First, here’s a look at the batting stats. This will look at who has the most, or best, in each category, along with who has the best record in each category:
Batting Stats Leaders
- Runs – All Balls No Strikes (208)
- Hits – PujolsalwaysCardinal (401)
- Home Runs – Most Daring (61)
- RBIs – Most Daring (218)
- Stolen Bases – PujolsalwaysCardinal (51)
- Average – PujolsalwaysCardinal (.287)
Batting Record Leaders
- Runs – Muse Academy Muses/South Side Cubs Fan (5-1-0)
- Hits – Bad News Bears/PujolsalwaysCardinal (5-1-0)
- Home Runs – Most Daring (6-0-0)
- RBIs – SouthSideSluggers/Most Daring/ BooBooCubs (5-1-0)
- Stolen Bases – Muse Academy Muses/South Side Cubs Fan/Quincy Dirtbags/BooBooCubs (5-1-0)
- Average – NIU Huskies (5-1-0)
So why include the record portion? I feel it’s a better indicator at who is hot in what position. A team may have the most runs or hits in the league so far, but that could be inflated due to a big week. It also shows where a team may be tough to beat in a certain week.
And now for a breakdown of the same on the pitching stats.
Pitching Stats Leaders
- Wins – Quincy Dirtbags (30)
- Losses – All Balls No Strikes (11)
- Saves – BooBooCubs (31)
- Walks – NIU Huskies (62)
- Strikeouts – The Chosen People (363)
- ERA – Good Wood Gang (2.73)
Pitching Record Leaders
- Wins – Good Wood Gang (5-1-0)
- Losses – All Balls No Strikes/South Side Cubs Fan (5-1-0)
- Saves – PujolsalwaysCardinal (5-0-1)
- Walks – NIU Huskies (6-0-0)
- Strikeouts – Good Wood Gang/The Chosen People/Bad News Bears (5-1-0)
