Meet A Manager: Most Daring

I know we missed it last week, but Meet A Manager comes back this week with a strong post from the man behind Most Daring.  And he went into detail this week as to why it’s delayed.  Besides, you got a nice IFL Theater last week too.  So without further delay,  it’s time to meet Most Daring.

  • Who is the man behind Most Daring (i.e. you)?

I’m Jon Reidy. Don’t know if you are looking for a life story here or just my name? We’ll just go with the name for time sake.

  • What do you do for a living?

I’m a TV photojournalist better know as a camera man. I just started working at the Fox station in Milwaukee last week.

  • If we’ve met, how did we meet?

Carson and I met at The Western Illinois University. We were both broadcast majors and worked on many projects together.  One of these was a very popular morning radio that we co-hosted. Our listenership at sometimes approached double digits! The show was called “Manic Mondays” which was a little strange because the show aired on Tuesdays. A little joke there, it aired on Monday.

  • What inspired your team name?

Last year when I was living in Philadelphia I had some time on my hands because for the most part I was unemployed. I spent a lot of time in front of the tube. As I was flipping along there it was my team name. Most Daring is the name of a show on truTV the show is described as: “Dangerous situations, death-defying rescues and out-of-control behavior. From shootouts, to hold-ups to car crashes and more.”

  • How long have you played fantasy sports?

Off and on for ten years or so.

  • What’s your best accomplishment in fantasy sports?

Anytime I beat Carson. (ed. note: Aren’t you cute..)

  • What’s your favorite teams and players?

I’m Cardinals, Bulls, and Packers fan. The reason I’m a Cardinals fan is because of “The Wizard” Ozzie Smith so I have to go with him and Jordan. There are other guys too but we will leave it to that now.

  • What’s your most memorable sports moment that you personally have done?

I remember back to about 3rd grade… I was playing short stop with a runners on first and second with one out. I caught a line drive and tagged the bag to get the double play. it seemed like time slowed down.

  • What’s your favorite sports moment overall?

That time when Carson hit a terrible golf shot and threw his club. No, I’d say the Cardinals 2006 World Series victory. (ed. note: I believe I hit your nipple too with a golf shot…me or Spry did, one of the two)

  • What’s your favorite moment from Manic Mondays?

I had a ton of fun on that show. I like the live remote from a Tulsa bathroom the best. I was in Tulsa to cover WIU at the Mid Con basketball tournament. We were there on a Monday and the show must go on. Chad Ruter and Brock Wissmiller were broadcasting the WIU games. Manic Mondays started at 6 am so I got in Chad and Brock’s room a little before that because they had the radio equipment and their bathroom had a phone line. I don’t know if you know but nature often calls in the morning. So I had to exit my Tulsa studio a few times but the acoustics were great. The show was fun and it was great TJ was 500 miles away… kidding.

(Major Ed. note: This won’t be the last time you hear about Manic Mondays on the blog…just sayin’)

  • What would your porn name be?

I have a few videos out, you’ll find out if you see them.

  • If you could eliminate one celebrity from the planet, no questions asked, who and why?

I don’t care, I’ll keep everyone.

  • What exotic animal would you have as a pet?

I just want a big dog but apartment landlords don’t, I’ll have to wait until I get a house.

  • What would be in your ‘mancave’?

Movie theater, pool table, and some other stuff.

  • Any parting words for the rest of the league?

Good luck to everyone. My main goal is to beat CARSON. I also think we should throw 20 bucks in for the football season.

Reidy wants to get a discussion going.  Thoughts?

I don’t know who you think are jack rabbit! But I’m dude and I’ve been driving cattle the last four months so you can have stake on your freaking plate. Sorry for the language but it really gets my goat to hear you say I’m playing some fan boy. Now shut your lip if you know what’s good for ya!
